March 22, 2019 -- Wichita State University has been named to CollegeNET Inc.’s list of Social Mobility Innovators for 2019. Making the list means WSU has a proven track record of successfully enrolling students from low-income backgrounds and graduating them into promising careers.

March 18, 2019 - Wichita State physician assistant students spent their day off from classes on Martin Luther King Jr. Day performing community service.

Feb. 26, 2019 -- Two Wichita State Public Health Sciences faculty members are focusing their research on health equity for women in Kansas. Dec. 4, 2018 - WSU School of Nursing instructor Richard Nold spent two weeks in North Carolina earlier this fall providing medical assistance to victims of Hurricane Florence.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Sept. 27, 2018 -- After months of anticipation, Fuzzy's Taco Shop confirmed plans to open a restaurant in Braeburn Square, the new retail complex at Wichita State University. Next summer Fuzzy's will join Starbucks and the Shocker Store in the development near 21st and Oliver.
